Itinerary

Day 1

Arrive Indore - Sightseeing

  • Pick up from Indore airport. Check in to Hotel and relax.
  • Today visit Local Indore Sightseeing Lal Bagh Palace, Kaanch Mandir, Rajwada and Krishna Pura Chattris and The Very Famous Khajrana Ganesh Mandir. Late evening enjoy the Indore local street delicacies at Sarafa. Night stay in Indore.
  • Lalbagh Palace is a residential royal palace situated in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India. It was built under the Holkar dynasty, which ruled the Indore state.
  • Note: Closed on Monday
  • Kanch Mandir, literally Temple of Glass, is a famous Jain temple in Indore, built by Sir Seth Hukumchand Jain. The construction began sometime around 1903.
  • Rajwada, also known as the Holkar Palace, is an important historical palace in Indore that was constructed by the Holkars of the Maratha empire, around 2 centuries ago. The palace is an impressive 7 storey structure that is placed near the Holkar Chhatris. One of the popular tourist attractions of Indore, The construction of the palace was started by Malhar Rao Holkar, the founder of Holkar Dynasty in the year 1747 A.D
  • Krishna Pura Chhatris are three chhatris located in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India.[1] The structures were built by the Holkars as cenotaphs over the spots where people of importance were cremated, leading to them also being known as the Holkar Chhatris. All three of the Chhatris are located half a kilometer from the city palace, Rajwada, which was also built by the Holkar dynasty.
  • Sarafa Bazaar The streets behind Rajwada in Indore are crowded jewellery Market in the daytime and hence name Sarafa Bazaar which started in early 19th century.
  • This whole street famously called ‘Sarafa’ that serves the tastiest vegetarian snacks, chaat, and sweets right from 8 pm up to 2 at night, The street food of Indore has its roots based in recipes from Rajasthan, Gujarat and Maharashtra.

Indore – Ujjain – Indore (1.5 Hrs. one way)

  • After breakfast, proceed to Ujjain. Visit
  • Mahakaleshwar Jyotirling Temple (ONE OF THE TWELVE JYOTIRLING TEMPLE), Bada Ganesh, Harsiddhi, Ramghat, Gad Kalika, Kaal Bhairav, Mangalnath and Sandipani Ashram.
  • Evening visit Mahakal Lok Corridor. Later back to Indore. Night Stay in Indore.
  • Mahakaleshwar Jyotirling is one of the twelve Jyotirlings, shrines which are said to be the most sacred abodes of Shiv. It is the only Jyotirling facing the south, while all the others face east. This is because the direction of death is believed to be the south.
    In fact, people worship Mahakaleshwar to prevent an untimely death.
  • Bada Ganesh: This temple enshrines a huge artistic sculpture of Ganesh. An idol of this size and beauty is rarely to be found. The middle of the temple is adorned by an idol of the pancha-mukhi (five faced) Hanuman.
  • Harsiddhi temple is one of the 52 Siddhapeeth’s. The Marathi art can be here on the two pillars decorated with lamps.
  • Ramghat: Ram Ghat is one of the biggest pilgrim places. It is where millions of pilgrims gather during the event. The aarti here is renowned and the ghat is known to be the oldest bathing ghat in Ujjain, almost as old as the Kumbh mela itself.
  • Gad Kalika Mata Temple: Gad Kalika is the one of the Siddhpeeth. The classical poet Kalidas Garh was a worshiper of Kalika Devi. Gadkalika Temple is an ancient Hindu shrine dedicated to Goddess Kali that dates back to the period of the Mahabharata war.
  • Kal Bhairav temple: The worship of Kal Bhairav was traditionally popular among the Kapalika and Aghora sects, and Ujjain was a prominent centre of these sects.
  • Kal Bhairav is the guardian deity of Ujjain: He is considered Senapati (Commander-in-Chief or Chief General) of the town. Liquor is one of the offerings made to the temple deity.
  • Mangalnath: It is dedicated to Mahadeva, the guardian deity of the city. It is regarded as the birthplace of Mars (mangala in Hindi), according to the Matsya Purana. Famous for a clear view of the planet and hence suitable for astronomical studies. This temple is famous for magal dosh nivaran Bhaat Puja.
  • Sandipani Ashram: Sandipani Ashram is a holy shrine which is built in remembrance of the Maharishi Sandipani. According to mythology, it is believed that this is the ashram where Guru Sandipani used to teach Shri Krishna, his friend Sudama and Lord Krishna’s brother Balram.

Indore – Omkareshwar Sightseeing - Indore (03 Hrs.)

  • After Breakfast, Proceed for Omkareshwar. Visit Omkareshwar Jyotirling Temple (ONE OF THE TWELVE JYOTIRLING TEMPLE) and Mamleshwar Temple. Later do Narmada River
  • Pooja. After Pooja and darshan transfer back to Indore. Night stay in Indore.
  • Omkareshwar Temple: Omkareshwar means ‘Lord of Omkaara’, which is one of the Dwadasa
  • Jyotirlinga shrines or the 12 shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva in the form of Jyotirlingam. Omkareshwar, located on the island of Mandhata, on a sacred island, shaped like the holy Hindu symbol ’ Om’ drawing hundreds of pilgrims to this temple town.
  • Mamleshwar Temple : The Mamleshwar temple, hosts the second Jyotirling of Omkareshwar, and one of the only twelve on the Indian subcontinent.
